Paper cd sleeves are the most popular and offer a practical and economic choice for cd packaging. Paper sleeves come in several different options including with a window, with a flap or with a window and a flap. They are also available in assorted colors.

Tyvek cd sleeves are basically a fibrous paper sleeve that has added protection and durability. They also come with flap or window options. Colored tyvek cd sleeves are available as well.

Vinyl cd sleeves allow the cd or dvd to be completely visible. These are great for when you have really nice artwork on your disc and would like it to show through. Vinyl sleeves are also very durable and provide better than average protection.

Cardboard cd sleeves are the best choice when you need a practical yet sturdy package. These come in two types standard and with a window.

Custom printed cd sleeves are easily mass-produced in a short period of time and give you the ability to add your own custom design. These are great for marketing purposes and definitely stand out among the other types of sleeves.

Some Pointers for CD Sleeves

CD sleeves may not offer the necessary protection when sent through the mail. It is recommended that sleeves are inserted into either a case or mailer when sent through the mail. Also there has been instances where cds have been destroyed after going through radiation at the post office. It is unknown what kind of devices are being used to scan mail but some fear that they rare omitting radiation that may destroy the cd or dvd making it unusable. Cases may provide added protection from this threat.
