What is a UPC? A UPC (Universal Product Code) barcode is always unique. Nobody should have the same UPC code in the world. Retailers can use UPC codes to track
purchases of your CD's.
It can cost you up to $3500 to get your own UPC code from Uniform Code Council (UCC), as manufacturer applies to the UCC for permission to enter the UPC system. With our Duplication or Replication orders, you can get 1 UPC code for $99, or FREE with our musician packages.
Your UPC code will be our unique code, plus 6 additional digits assigned to you by US Digital Media. You may register your UPC code and CD information with SoundScan. Soundscan is a company, which tracks retail music sales with their trademarked system, can track your particular release properly.

Please save the UPC barcode sample graphic below and place in your artwork This will give you the idea of UPC code size on your graphic. UPC codes need the space of 1.3in.(W) X 0.87in.(H) or 34mm(W) X 22mm(H). That is about 400(W) X 260(H) pixels at 300 DPI. If your artwork's DPI is different, please resize the sample.
If you are going to submit your artwork, you MUST put this sample on your BACK SIDE TRAYCARD graphic, if we are creating your artwork for you we will plan the spacing for it. Don't worry. We will replace that with high resolution UPC barcode graphic.
