Digital, PhotoPro, Thermal, Silkscreen, or Offset? We all like having options, but how do you know which printing option is right for your service order? Your CDROM2GO Account Representative will be happy to discuss your needs and recommend the process that is best suited to your specific project; based on your artwork, quantities required, budget, and time allotted. PhotoPro, when you want full vibrant imagery, we use state-of-the-art PhotoPro Thermal Re-Transfer printing for crisp, robust results. With PhotoPro printing, full color, water resistant images are printed directly on the disc surface.

Digital printing is a professional photo coat print layer created on a high-end laser printer using rich CMYK colors. This print process features excellent quality and durability in addition to vibrant colors and amazing color consistency.

Thermal printing is a single color text or simple line drawing printed on the disc using a heat transfer ribbon. This process only allows one color printing, usually standard black, of text and some small images.

Offset printing is a dynamic four color (cmyk) on disc printing process creating superior clarity and resolution to print amazing photographic images. With a 175 line/inch resolution, this process is creates stunning images. Best for photographic images or patterned details along with text basics.

Silkscreen printing is a full or spot color on disc print process creating rich looking discs. At 80 lines/inch resolution, Silkscreen printing is best for spot or Pantone Matching System colors as it creates great solid color on any CD or DVD. Using Pantone's also gives the flexibility of using 1-5 colors individually and having the exact color needed.

As you are browsing thru our CD / DVD Duplication pages you will see some items have different pricing for different printing options. Our pricing level for Digital Print is pricing for Digital Photo Coat or Thermal artwork printing, PhotoPro pricing is for our PhotoPro printing process. Don't see the package you want with your printing option? Just ask one of our Account Representatives if it is available.

Why do the CD / DVD Replication pages only have one price? Because you can choose your print process for the same low price!

To decide which option best fits your needs first we break down by the volume of prints you will be needing. If you are doing a low volume Duplication order of 50-5,000 discs you can use Digital, Thermal, or PhotoPro printing*. For high-volume Replication orders of 1,000-100,000 discs you have the option of Silkscreen or Offset printing.

Your printing option should also be based on how you want your disc to look. If you have full color artwork already created, then our Digital Photo Coat or PhotoPro options are the best fits in Duplication printing. Full color or photographic artwork for Replication prints with better quality if it is Offset printed. If you are wanting only black text on a silver disc, our Thermal option is the right fit for your Duplication order. If you have 1-3 Pantone Matching System colors or solid exact spot colors you want printed, Silkscreen would be your best Replication printing process.
