August 27, 2007 – US Digital Media announces they now offer replication service on flexible DVD discs. The new FlexDisc discs are half the thickness of a standard DVD and allow for superior flexibility without damage. With half the thickness and almost half the weight of standard DVD discs, FlexDiscs are ideal for sending discs through the mail. The FlexDiscs offer the same 5GB capacity of standard single layer DVD-5 replicated DVDs and still allow for full color offset printing of label artwork. The new flexible discs can easily be inserted into magazines, mailers, or postcards and will survive the rolling and processing associated with standard postage. There is a FlexDisc HD DVD version in development that will offer 15GB capacity with the same durable flexible properties of the standard FlexDisc.
